Shoulder Muscles: Origin, Insertion, Nerve Supply & Action

Shoulder Girdle Muscle: The shoulder girdle is also known as the pectoral girdle. The pectoral girdle connects the upper limb to the axial skeleton on the right and side left of the body.

There is an anatomical connection between pectoral girdle and the axial skeleton; that is, the sternoclavicular joints, that lies anteriorly. The shoulder muscles are those which attach to and move these two bones.
