Attachment of the Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis
Origin: The flexor digiti minimi brevis muscle arises from the hamate bone and the palmar surface of the flexor retinaculum of the hand.
Insertion: Medial side of the base of proximal phalanx of the little finger.
Nerve Supply of the Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis
The flexor digiti minimi brevis is innervated by the deep branch of the ulnar nerve (C8 and T1).
Function of the Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis
The flexor digiti minimi brevis flexes the little finger at the metacarpophalangeal joint.
