Coracobrachialis: The coracobrachialis muscle is the smallest of the three muscles that attach to the coracoid process of the scapula. The coracobrachialis is situated at the upper and medial part of the arm. The coracobrachialis lies deep to the biceps brachii in the arm.
Attachments of the Coracobrachialis Muscle
Origin: Originates from the coracoid process of the scapula.
Insertion: The muscle passes through the axilla, and attaches the medial side of the humeral shaft, at the level deltoid tubercle.
Actions of the Coracobrachialis Muscle
Flexion of the arm at the shoulder, and weak adduction.
Nerve supply of the Coracobrachialis Muscle
Musculocutaneous nerve
